Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Lake and Kenosha
Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Fox River Lower near New Munster.
* WHEN...Until this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Floodwaters begin to affect 77th St. in the
Town of Wheatland. Floodwaters are near some homes along Riverside
Dr, Shorewood Dr, and Highway W in the Village of Salem Lakes and
Town of Wheatland areas. Fox River Park boat launch starts to
flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 11.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 9:00 AM CDT Friday was 11.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this
afternoon and continue falling to 8.3 feet Friday, October 02.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.3
feet on 03/30/2020.
