Seminole County in southwestern Georgia... * Until 830 PM EDT/730 PM CDT/. * At 722 PM EDT/622 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located near Marianna, moving southeast at 35 mph. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, including the following counties, Geneva and Houston and Panhandle Florida, including the following counties, Holmes, Jackson, Walton and Washington. * WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 550 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The development of training thunderstorms over a stalled east-west boundary is expected to develop this afternoon, and into the evening across these areas.
