If traveling, use extreme caution and give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination.

Special Weather Statement

Temporary visibility drops are possible in snow and blowing snow with wind gusts up to 20mph to 30mph along and behind an arctic front tonight. With temperatures dropping into the single digits behind an arctic front, wet and slushy untreated and treated roads may freeze. This may make for hazardous travel, particularly for any areas that have experienced snow or will pick up light accumulations along the front.

Visibility may periodically drop to as low as one-half of a mile in heavier bursts of snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The greatest accumulations in Crawford County will be across the northwest half of the county with amounts decreasing across the southeastern half of the county.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Northern Erie and Southern Erie Counties. * WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility, especially on Monday. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The greatest snow rates are expected tonight into Monday morning, when rates can exceed one inch per hour at times within organized lake effect bands.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 24 below zero expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and northwest Ohio and northwest Pennsylvania. * WHEN...From 1 AM Monday to 10 AM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 24 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Low temperatures tonight into Monday morning will be in the single digits for most with wind chill values as low as 20 below zero. Low temperatures Monday night into Tuesday morning will be in the range of 5 above to 5 below zero with wind chill values as low as 20 below zero. Low temperatures Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be the coldest of the stretch, ranging from zero to 13 below zero. Wind chill values will be as cold as 24 below zero, but could trend colder. Lingering cold with sub zero wind chills could continue through Wednesday night.
