* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive runoff is expected. * WHERE...A portion of upstate South Carolina, including the following county, York. * WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...River or stream flows will be elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 935 PM EDT, Excessive runoff from flash flooding in Mecklenburg County will result in rapid rises along Steele, Mcalpine and Sugar Creeks tonight. Please remain wary of developing flooding of low-lying areas along these creeks. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southwest Charlotte, Fort Mill and Carowinds. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the following county, Lancaster. * WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 912 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated very heavy rain due to thunderstorms over south Charlotte. The runoff from over 3 inches in an hour across parts of south Charlotte have led to significant flooding of McAlpine Creek which is expected to flow into far northern Lancaster county. Areas impacted would be residences that back up to McAlpine Creek near the state line and off of Harrisburg Rd. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
