* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following county, Cameron. * WHEN...Until 800 PM CST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 430 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Harlingen, San Benito, Los Fresnos, Rancho Viejo, Rio Hondo, Palm Valley, Los Indios, Laureles, Olmito, Cameron Park, La Paloma, Downtown Brownsville, Port Of Brownsville, Southmost, Rangerville, Brownsville, Combes, Lincoln Park, Resaca Middle School and Library Memorial Middle School. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...The National Weather Service in Shreveport LA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas... Angelina River Near Lufkin affecting Nacogdoches, Angelina and Cherokee Counties. For the Angelina River...including Alto, Lufkin...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin. * WHEN...From Friday morning to early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 161.0 feet, Expect minor flooding with the gravel parking lot flooded and water beginning to overflow the gravel road where it widens into the parking lot. Also expect about a foot of overflow across the left bank of the Angelina River looking downstream. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM CST Thursday the stage was 160.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 161.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
