* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Deep South Texas, including the following county, Cameron. * WHEN...Until 800 PM CST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 430 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... For the Angelina River...including Alto, Lufkin...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin. * WHEN...From Friday morning to early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 161.0 feet, Expect minor flooding with the gravel parking lot flooded and water beginning to overflow the gravel road where it widens into the parking lot. Also expect about a foot of overflow across the left bank of the Angelina River looking downstream. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM CST Thursday the stage was 160.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 161.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
