* WHAT...Snow expected above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...The southern Oregon Cascades from Highway 140 northward. This includes Lake of the Woods, Highway 62 and 138 at Crater Lake and Diamond Lake, and portions of highway 58 near Crescent Lake and Willamette Pass. * WHEN...From 2 AM to 11 PM PDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will drop quickly overnight Friday and rain will change over to snow during the heaviest precipitation. There is a 70 percent chance for 1 inch an hour snowfall rates for a couple of hours between 4AM and 8AM. Snowfall rates will lighten after that.
