At 246 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen since Sunday evening. The heavier rains are ending across the warned area, although periods of light rain with a few embedded thunderstorms will continue for the next couple of hours. As long as rain rates do not increase, then the Flash Flood Warning will be allowed to expire at 3 AM. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Widespread rainfall amounts of two to four inches have fallen since Sunday evening across much of the Watch area, with additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches possible through 12 PM today.
