Fire weather concerns will become more widespread on Sunday as winds shift to the northwest and dry air remains. ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity is in effect from Sunday afternoon through early Sunday evening. * WINDS...Today: South to southwest 15 to 25 MPH with gusts up to 40 MPH. For Sunday: west 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Today: as low as 20 percent. For Sunday: as low as 15 to 22 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
