...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Oregon... Owyhee River Below Owyhee Dam affecting Malheur County. .Snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river flows to become high. Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam. For the Owyhee River...including Owyhee Dam, Owyhee Dam...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Owyhee River below Owyhee Dam. * WHEN...Until Friday, April 19. * IMPACTS...At 3,000 cfs, Low lying roads, river access and recreation sites adjacent to the river will flood. Farm equipment near the river may need to be moved. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:30 AM MDT Friday /10:30 AM PDT Friday/ the flow was 5,806.0 cfs. - Bankfull is 1,000 cfs. - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours ending at 11:30 AM MDT Friday /10:30 AM PDT Friday/ was 6,958 cfs. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Friday, April 19. - Flood flow is 3,000 cfs. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 5,810 cfs on 04/10/1985. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
