* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of between 5 and 10 inches, with up to 18 inches over the higher terrain of Glacier National Park. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...East Glacier Park Region Zone. * WHEN...Until noon MDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible and tire chains may be required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider alternate plans. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The worst roadway impacts will occur during the overnight and morning hours. The heavy wet snow may cause isolated power outages.
