* WHAT...North winds around 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. * WHERE...Lower Florida Keys. * WHEN...Until 9 AM EDT this morning. * IMPACTS...A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph, or frequent gusts in excess of 35 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Wind gusts along the Overseas Highway will be highest on bridges and overpasses.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Florida, including the following counties, Middle Keys in Monroe County and Lower Keys in Monroe County. * WHEN...Until 645 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 445 AM EDT, National Weather Service Meteorologist detected heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marathon, West End Of Seven Mile Bridge, Seven Mile Bridge, Bahia Honda Channel Bridge, East End Of Seven Mile Bridge, Ohio Key, Bahia Honda Key, Pigeon Key, Knight Key and Boot Key. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT...A southward flowing longshore current, rough surf, and a moderate risk of rip currents are expected. * WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Coastal Indian River, Coastal Saint Lucie, Coastal Martin, Mainland Northern Brevard, Northern Brevard Barrier Islands, Mainland Southern Brevard and Southern Brevard Barrier Islands Counties. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Breezy northerly winds will produce a moderate southward flowing longshore current today, which can push swimmers into deeper water unexpectedly, and make them more susceptible to dangerous rip currents.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Florida... Apalachicola River near Blountstown affecting Franklin, Liberty, Calhoun and Gulf Counties. For the Apalachicola River...including Blountstown...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Apalachicola River near Blountstown. * WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding will occur at Douglas Landing and Willis Landing Campgrounds in Gulf County. The 19.0 ft level at Blountstown may at times not be representative of river levels in these areas due to tidal effects, winds, or local rainfall and should be used with caution. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:15 PM CDT Monday /8:15 PM EDT Monday/ the stage was 18.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:15 PM CDT Monday /8:15 PM EDT Monday/ was 18.7 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.8 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.8 feet on 02/29/2016. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
