Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The combination of heavier snow and gusty winds could significantly reduce visibility at times. Southeasterly winds will increase across both coastal and interior Bristol Bay regions this evening. Winds and gusts will peak overnight through mid to late Wednesday morning before slowly decreasing in intensity Wednesday evening. Winds will be strongest across the interior with sustained winds of 30 to 45 mph and gusts to 70 mph, with the communities of Igiugig, Koliganek, and New Stuyahok likely to see some of the strongest winds. Along the coast, expect sustained winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 55 mph.
