Road Closed with Detour on SR-1136 Near Burlington
Alamance Maintenance forces plan to close and detour a portion of SR 1136 (Bellemont-Alamance Rd.) on May 16th to replace one 24" Reinforced Concrete Pipe with a 30" Reinforced Concrete Pipe and a 48" Corrugated Metal Pipe with a 60" X 48" Corrugated Metal Pipe.  Both replacements are  due to existing pipe failures.  The road is due to be reopened by May 24th.

Lanes Closed on NC-49 In Graham
The City of Graham and NCDOT will begin sidewalk improvements along portions of NC-49 (E Elm St) during the week of March 14th, 2016.  Motorists should expect temporary lane closures as work progresses.

@aprince27 Yes, NCDOT has submitted 3 applications for TIGER and 3 for FASTLANE grants. Four are rail-related, two are highway/pedestrian.
