How to use the Rossville Traffic Map
A static map with traffic flow is shown first and to start using the interactive map you press the blue Load button above to go live.

Traffic flow lines: Red/White dashed lines = Closed Road, Grey/White dashed lines = Road Work, Red lines = Heavy traffic flow, Yellow/Orange lines = Medium flow, and Green = normal traffic. Black lines or no traffic flow lines could indicate a closed road, but in most cases it means that either there is not enough vehicle flow to register or traffic isn't monitored. Also, if you do not see traffic flow, you can zoom in closer to reveal localized data. If you are unable to pan the map, press here (to focus off of the map) and try again.

Traffic Incidents: Each icon represents a traffic event or incident such as road construction, closure (red circle with a white dash), or accident. In some regions there may also be live traffic camaras to view.

In known extreme weather events or accidents, the map may still show green lines, even if lanes or the entire road are closed.

Traffic Alert: Cold and Snowy Impact on Roads
Updated Mon Nov 10th 2025, 6:34am PST
Cold Snap in the Southeast
As we start the week, drivers in Florida and the broader Southeast will experience sharply colder weather with temperatures 20-30 degrees below average. If you're traveling on major routes like I-95 and I-75, expect potential icy patches, especially during the early morning and late evening hours. Freeze watches and warnings are impacting travel through Tuesday morning, so time your commute wisely and keep those blankets handy.
Snow and Wind in the Great Lakes and Northeast
For those in the Great Lakes and Interior Northeast, today and tomorrow will be a wintry mix of snow and wind. Expect significant snowfall with accumulations of 4-8 inches along with gusty winds, particularly on I-90 and I-75. Lake effect snow warnings are in place, so anticipate reduced visibility and potential whiteouts on stretches of highway near Lake Erie and the Appalachians. Plan extra travel time and be cautious of snowplows working to clear the roads.
West Coast Unsettled Weather
Looking ahead to Wednesday, a developing system will bring unsettled weather to the West Coast. While snow isn't in the immediate forecast, motorists on I-5 and Highways 101 and 1 should be prepared for rain and gusty winds which could affect travel time and road conditions. Keep an eye on updates for any changes to the forecast that may impact the end of your week.
