Meanwhile, California braces for a heatwave impacting routes like I-5 and I-15, especially through Los Angeles, CA and San Diego, CA.
Today, the lower Texas coast including Corpus Christi, TX will be facing significant rainfall with up to 7 inches expected. Commuters on US-77 should prepare for possible flooding and delays. Moving east, the Gulf Coast from New Orleans, LA to the Florida Panhandle will see similar conditions, affecting major routes like Interstate 10. Flood Watches are in place, and road travel may be challenging through Monday morning.
In California, a significant heatwave will impact major highways such as I-5 and I-15 in cities like Los Angeles, CA and San Diego, CA. With temperatures soaring into the 90s and even low 100s in some areas, drivers are encouraged to stay hydrated and ensure their vehicles are prepared for the heat. Heat Advisories are active across the Central Valley and the Bay Area.
Travelers in the Great Lakes region, including cities like Chicago, IL and Detroit, MI, should expect scattered showers and possible thunderstorms today as a low pressure system moves through. By Monday, New England areas, including Boston, MA, could see heavy showers, potentially affecting Interstate 95. Meanwhile, nice and cool fall weather is anticipated for the Mid-Atlantic states.
