At 414 PM CDT, automated weather stations reported gusty showers along a line extending from near Harvard to near Pingree Grove to Yorkville. Movement was northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Automated weather stations. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Very strong southeast winds continue on the western edge of a large shield of rain lifting to the northeast across eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois. Sudden gusts up to 45 mph, or isolated higher gusts, could develop quickly with little notice. The strong winds will blow around loose objects and lead to difficult travel conditions, especially for high profile vehicles.
