Temperatures this afternoon and into the early evening will reach the upper 80s to lower 90s across portions of the lowlands. This, combined with high humidity, will result in heat indices ranging from the middle 90s to near 100 degrees in some locations. Try to limit time outdoors this afternoon when heat illness is most likely to occur. If going outdoors, make sure to drink plenty of fluids and take breaks out of the sun.

Northwestern Shelby County in west central Ohio... * WHEN...Until 445 PM EDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1044 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.
