Temperatures this afternoon into early evening will reach the upper 80s to low 90s across the area. This combined with high humidity will result in heat indices in the mid 90s up to 100 degrees in some locations. Try to limit time outdoors today during peak heating when heat illness is most likely to occur. If going outdoors, make sure to drink plenty of fluids and take breaks out of the sun.
