* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, including the following areas, Belmont, Monroe and Noble, Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Higher Elevations of Fayette, Higher Elevations of Westmoreland, Washington and Westmoreland, and West Virginia, including the following areas, Brooke, Eastern Preston, Eastern Tucker, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Preston, Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston, Western Tucker and Wetzel. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall are expected through Tuesday night. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected on average, with locally higher totals possible. * WHAT...Significant flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southeastern Athens County in southeastern Ohio... Northeastern Gallia County in southeastern Ohio... Meigs County in southeastern Ohio... Southwestern Washington County in southeastern Ohio... Northwestern Jackson County in northwestern West Virginia... Western Wood County in northwestern West Virginia... North Central Mason County in western West Virginia... * WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Significant flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to significant flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 921 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported numerous roads that were flooded in the warned area due to heavy rain from earlier thunderstorms. Significant flooding is ongoing. - The Shade River gauge at Chester has reached 28 feet and continues to rise. This is the third highest water level on record, rivaling what occurred on September 18th, 2004, when the river breached 30 feet. Roads that normally do not flood will flood!! - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Athens, Pomeroy, Coolville, Rutland, Forked Run State Park, Mason, Tuppers Plains, Middleport, Chester, Syracuse, Hartford City, Darwin, Harrisonville, Dexter, Dyesville, Reedsville, Portland, and Salem Center. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
