Northern Barbour County in southeastern Alabama... * Until 230 AM CDT. * At 1152 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Clayton, Comer, Barbour County Public Lake Dam, Spring Hill, Hawkinsville, Boot Hill, Batesville, Mount Andrew, Clayton Municipal Airport and Lugo. This includes US Highway 82 between mile markers 219 and 235.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Coffee County in southeastern Alabama... * WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 945 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to persistent showers and isolated embedded thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen from late afternoon through this evening. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are forecast for most of the area with locally higher amounts of up to 6 inches possible through Monday, especially along the Emerald and Forgotten Coasts. Another area of concern is across south-central Georgia where locally heavy rainfall since Friday afternoon has primed the region more so than the rest of our area, so it wont take as much rain to cause flash flooding. Across the flood watch area, very high rain rates due to the tropical air mass may lead to flash flooding, especially in urban and poor drainage areas. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
