South Central Hawkins County in East Tennessee... * WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1056 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inch are expected over the area. Flash Flood Warning issued September 23 at 9:57PM EDT until September 24 at 12:00AM EDT by NWS Morristown TN

At 957 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain and flooding in Halls. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Halls, Maloneyville, Mascot and House Mountain State Park. This includes Interstate 40 in Tennessee between mile markers 397 and 399.
