River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Hannibal. * WHEN...Until Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, John Hay Recreation Area on east side (inside the Illinois Sny Levee) begins flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM CDT Friday the stage was 17.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 PM CDT Friday was 17.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.1 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

It will then fall below flood stage Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday evening. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
