The Flood Advisory will expire at 515 AM EDT early this morning for a portion of east Tennessee, including the following areas, Jefferson and Sevier. The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...South Central Morgan County in east Tennessee... Northwestern Roane County in east Tennessee... * WHEN...Until 615 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 410 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rockwood, Midtown, Harriman, Oakdale and Pine Orchard. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
