At 903 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles west of Gastonia, or near Kings Mountain, moving south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Gastonia, Kings Mountain, Grover, Earl, Crowders Mountain State Park, Kings Mountain State Park, Bessemer City, Patterson Springs, Blacksburg, and Bethany.
