FFWPUB The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... The Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar in... East Central Custer County in southeastern Colorado... West Central Pueblo County in southeastern Colorado... * Until 830 PM MDT. * At 527 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow moving through the North Creek and Middle Creek. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding in and around the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Beulah and San Isabel. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Colorado, including the following areas, Animas River Basin, Four Corners/Upper Dolores River, Northwest San Juan Mountains, Paradox Valley/Lower Dolores River, San Juan River Basin, Southwest San Juan Mountains and Uncompahgre Plateau and Dallas Divide and southeast Utah, including the following areas, Canyonlands/Natural Bridges, La Sal and Abajo Mountains and Southeast Utah. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Flooding will be possible over burn scars, at low-water crossings, and along creeks, streams, washes, arroyos and other flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Unpaved roads could become muddy and impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Periods of light to moderate rainfall, associated with remnant moisture from Hurricane Polo, are expected to continue through early this evening with isolated thunderstorms possible. Heavy rain falling on saturated soils and burn scars could lead to localized flash flooding and rises on local rivers. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of east central Colorado, including the following area, Southeast Elbert County Below 6000 Feet/South Lincoln County. * WHEN...Until midnight MDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Through midday Wednesday, 0.75-1.25" of rain has estimated to have fallen in southern Lincoln County. Additional banded rainfall is expected across portions of the area in the watch. Minor flooding is possible across the areas that received the most rainfall so far, which is south and east of Karval, and for the Rush Creek and Adobe Creek basins in southeast Lincoln County. - Southeast Lincoln County for the Rush Creek and Adobe Creek basins.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Colorado, including the following areas, Cheyenne CO, Kit Carson and Yuma, Kansas, including the following areas, Cheyenne KS, Decatur, Gove, Graham, Greeley, Logan, Norton, Rawlins, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas, Wallace and Wichita, and southwest Nebraska, including the following areas, Dundy, Hitchcock and Red Willow. * WHEN...Through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An additional 0.25-3.00" of rain are forecast through Thursday afternoon. The heavier amounts will favor those closer to Central Kansas while the lower amounts will favor those near the Tri-State border. There may be a few pockets of 4-6" rainfall totals generally along and south I-70.
