At 938 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles east of Pringle, or 18 miles southwest of Spearman, moving south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Stinnett and Pringle.

Flash Flood Warning issued July 9 at 8:44AM CDT until July 9 at 9:45AM CDT by NWS Midland/Odessa TX

At 844 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area have ended, but residual flooding and ponding of water on roadways will persist for another hour or two. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Odessa, West Odessa and Odessa Schlemeyer Field.

For the Guadalupe River...including Victoria, Bloomington...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Guadalupe River near Bloomington. * WHEN...Until early Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding occurs, with the flow reaching the right flood plain near the Invista Plant near Bloomington. Downstream above Highway 35, the flow escapes into the left flood plain cutting off the lowest homes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 20.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 20.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.6 feet late this evening.
