Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge. * WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Low-lying wetlands and agricultural land is inundated near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 7.4 feet. - Forecast...The river will slowly fall below flood stage towards the end of the week. However, additional rainfall is expected Wednesday and Thursday, which may result in renewed rises. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
