...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Lafayette. .Minor flooding continues along the Wabash River at Lafayette. The river is at or near crest at Lafayette as of this morning, less than one foot above flood, and should fall back below flood stage by Friday morning. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette. * WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Water may approach a couple low county roads. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 11.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM EDT Thursday was 11.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late tonight and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Covington and Montezuma. .Rainfall of one inch or more earlier this week is now expected to take the Wabash River at Covington and Montezuma back into minor flood briefly over the next couple of days. Crests are likely to be less than one foot above flood stage in both locations, well below levels experienced earlier this month. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Covington. * WHEN...From this evening to Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Low agricultural lands begin to flood. Backyard flooding of cottages on right bank starts a short distance upstream of gage. Critical stage of Young-Neal Levee is reached. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 15.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 16.3 feet just after midnight tonight.
