Patchy to localized areas of blowing dust may reduce visibility across the Columbia Plateau this afternoon. Be ready for sudden changes in visibility. If you encounter blowing dust or blowing sand on the roadway or see it approaching, pull off the road as far as possible and put your vehicle in park. Turn the lights all the way off and keep foot off the brake pedal. Remember, 'Pull Aside, Stay Alive'.

* WHAT...For both Frost Advisories, temperatures as low as 33 to 36 degrees will result in frost formation. * WHERE...Upper Hood River Valley County. * WHEN...For the first Frost Advisory, from midnight tonight to 9 AM PDT Saturday. For the second Frost Advisory, from midnight Saturday Night to 9 AM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Chances for sub-freezing temperatures below 32 degrees are high in Parkdale and Dee (70-90%) Saturday night into Sunday morning. However, the majority of the Upper Hood River Valley should remain above freezing with lows of 33 to 36 degrees, including in Odell.

* WHAT...A moderate risk for sneaker waves is expected. * WHERE...The beaches of Douglas, Coos, and Curry counties. * WHEN...From early Sunday morning through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and sweep them into the ocean.
