...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansas...Missouri... Little Osage River at Fulton affecting Bourbon County. Little Osage River near Horton affecting Vernon County. For the Little Osage River...including Fulton, Horton...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Little Osage River at Fulton. * WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, major flooding begins at the gage site. Flood waters reach the bottom of Old Highway 69 bridge at the previous gage site. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:31 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 26.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:31 PM CDT Thursday was 26.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.5 feet tomorrow evening. Marais Des Cygnes River above Reading affecting Osage and Lyon Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Marais Des Cygnes River above Reading. * WHEN...From late tonight to early tomorrow afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Low lying areas along the river flood. At 21.0 feet, County Road Y 5 near the gage floods, 3 miles north of Reading. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 20.0 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage around sunrise. - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

Northern Vernon County in west central Missouri... * Until 1215 AM CDT Friday. * At 603 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Nevada, Walker, Schell City, Fulton, Richards, Deerfield, Metz, Harwood, Stotesbury, Horton, Hammond, Devon and Harding. This includes the following low water crossings...
