At 902 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near New Harmony to 8 miles northwest of Zion National Park. Movement was north at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Cedar City, Zion National Park, Kanarraville, Hamilton Fort, and Kolob Canyon. This includes the following highways... Interstate 15 between mile markers 38 and 60. Utah Route 56 between mile markers 47 and 61.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of Utah, including the following area, Capitol Reef National Park and Vicinity. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, dry washes, slot canyons, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations such as slickrock areas and recent burn scars. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Deep moisture will remain in place across the region. Several disturbances will fuel development of thunderstorms with rainfall rates in excess of 0.25 to 0.50 inches per hour. In areas with training thunderstorms, rainfall rates will exceed 0.50 inches per hour.
