Expect some patchy dense fog across north central Nebraska through early this morning with visibility occasionally down to 1/2 mile. The fog will start to dissipate after daybreak and should be gone by 9AM CDT. Drivers should anticipate rapidly changing conditions by slowing down, using low beam headlights, and leaving extra space between vehicles.

Flood Advisory issued May 26 at 1:12AM CDT until May 26 at 6:00AM CDT by NWS Hastings NE

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Nebraska, including the following counties, Franklin and Webster. * WHEN...Until 600 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 107 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Republican River, Thompson Creek, Sassacus Creek, Farmers Creek, Rock Creek, School Creek, Crow Creek, Big Cottonwood Creek, Penny Creek, Dry Creek, Bachelors Run Creek, Ash Creek, Lovely Creek, Louisa Creek, Little Cottonwood Creek, Center Creek, Wortham Creek, West Penny Creek, Lost Creek, Spring Creek, Hungry Creek, Crooked Creek, Reams Creek, Indian Creek, Lohff Creek, Vinning Creek and Calumet Creek. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Red Cloud, Franklin, Naponee, Bloomington, Riverton, Cowles and Inavale.
