For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing... Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing. * WHEN...Until Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...At 48.0 feet, Access roads will be inundated and evacuation of all river islands must be complete. Protection of people and property in the river bottom land on the river side of the levees must be complete. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 47.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 48.5 feet early Tuesday afternoon. Secondary roads to the river and throughout Honey Island Swamp will remain inundated. Property in the vicinity of the gage is flooded threatening about 20 homes along the left bank.
