For the Owyhee River...including Mountain City...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Owyhee River near Mountain City. * WHEN...Until Thursday, May 09. * IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Minor flooding along the river channel. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:55 PM PDT Monday the stage was 7.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall to 7.3 feet Monday, May 06. It will then rise to 7.4 feet Tuesday, May 07. It will fall to 7.2 feet Wednesday, May 08. It will then rise above flood stage late this afternoon to 8.1 feet Wednesday, May 08. For the Lower Humboldt...including Palisade, Battle Mountain, Comus...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Humboldt River at Comus. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Moderate Flood Stage. Moderate lowland flooding throughout the reach, with some rural roads flooded. Minor flooding in the lower parts of Winnemucca with storm drain backups. Main area impacted is between the Union Pacific Railroad and Second street beneath Interstate 80. Property damage in Winnemucca is minimal. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:15 PM PDT Monday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon and continue rising to 10.3 feet Friday evening.
