Special Weather Statement issued April 22 at 4:56AM CDT by NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan WI

Gusty southwest winds of 15 to 25 MPH, with gusts to 35 MPH, are expected today. Deep mixing will result in relative humidity values dropping into the 20 to 25 percent range over most of the area this afternoon. This will result in elevated fire weather conditions this afternoon. Under these conditions, fires will start and spread easily and could potentially lead to a wildland fire. Please exercise caution with any activities that involve outdoor fires or create sparks, including campfires, grilling, and operating large equipment. Please heed any local burn bans.

Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement issued April 22 at 4:19AM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected across all of northeast Wisconsin during the afternoon and into the early evening hours. Mild temperatures in the 60s, low relative humidity values of 20 to 30 percent, and southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph are expected. Rain showers will arrive this evening, and bring some relief to the fire concerns. Persons are urged to be careful with any activities that could potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills, smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have the potential to throw a spark and ignite a fire. Check burning restrictions before burning and make sure to heed any restrictions that are in place in your county.
