North River near Norwalk Hwy R57 affecting Warren and Polk Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...North River near Norwalk Hwy R57, or from the Madison-Warren County line to the Des Moines River. * WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Water is over Iowa 28 immediately south of Norwalk and threatens several rural gravel roads. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 21.7 feet, and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this morning to a crest of 22.2 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of northwest Illinois, including the following counties, Carroll, Jo Daviess and Stephenson and Iowa, including the following counties, Dubuque and Jackson. * WHEN...From late tonight through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread showers and storms are expected to develop late tonight and last into Saturday. These storms will be capable of rainfall rates between 1-2 inches per hour. Rainfall totals of 1-3 inches are likely through Saturday evening with the potential for localized areas of 3+ inches.
