Northeastern Augusta County in western Virginia... * Until 715 PM EDT. * At 649 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bridgewater, or 10 miles southwest of Harrisonburg, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. This strong thunderstorm will be near... Roanoke Rapids, Garysburg, and Gaston around 655 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Mud Castle, Pleasant Hill, Gum Forks, Gumberry, Turners Crossroads, Slates Corner, Brink, and Roanoke Rapids Lake.
