Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE...Northern Elko County. * WHEN...Until 8 AM PDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Some rural roads near the river begin to flood. Very minor flooding begins in Winnemucca with storm drain backups, and the lowest parts of town begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:15 PM PDT Sunday the stage was 10.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 12:15 PM PDT Sunday was 10.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is forecast to fall below flood stage mid week. The river will subsequently reside in action stage. - Minor flood stage is 9.5 feet.
