* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Davidson, Montgomery, Randolph and Stanly. * WHEN...Until 1130 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1004 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Albemarle, Badin Lake, Plyler, Locust, Norwood, Badin, Oakboro, Denton, Stanfield, Richfield, New London, Fish Tales Marina, Morrow Mountain State Park, Pinehaven Marina, Whip-O- Will Campground, Newsom, Eldorado, Lake Tillery, High Rock and Uwharrie Haven. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

At 1002 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with frequent lightning 6 miles southeast of Lincolnton, or near Iron Station, moving northeast at 10 mph. Locations to be impacted include... Lincolnton, Stanley, Westport, High Shoals, Boger City, Iron Station, Denver, Dallas, Lake Norman, and Lowesville. In addition to intense lightning, very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.

At 953 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6 miles northwest of Rock Hill, or near Newport, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Rock Hill, York, Southwest Charlotte, Fort Mill, Pineville, Tega Cay, Clover, Newport, Steele Creek, and Carowinds.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following counties, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg and Union NC. * WHEN...Until 1230 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 929 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Expect rises on the headwaters of the following waterways: Twelvemile Creek in western Union County, McAlpine Creek in Mecklenburg County, Rocky River in Cabarrus County. Small branches and streams will likely be most impacted. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
