THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILL ALLOW TORNADO WATCH 517 TO EXPIRE AT 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN WISCONSIN THIS ALLOWS TO EXPIRE 1 COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL WISCONSIN MANITOWOC THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF MANITOWOC, POINT BEACH STATE PARK, SHOTO, AND TWO RIVERS.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Wisconsin, including the following counties, in east central Wisconsin, Calumet, Manitowoc and Winnebago. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Kewaunee and Outagamie. * WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Moderate to heavy rain will come to an end this evening. Additional rainfall totals of 0.50 to 1.50 inches are possible, with the highest totals across the lakeshore. * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central Wisconsin, including the following county, Sheboygan. * WHEN...Until 845 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 538 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in Plymouth due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Wisconsin, including the following counties, in east central Wisconsin, eastern Calumet and Manitowoc. In northeast Wisconsin, southern Brown. * WHEN...Until 915 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 519 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... * WHAT...Dangerous swimming conditions are expected along the Lake Superior shoreline due to high wave action and strong rip currents. * WHERE...Minnesota Park Point and Wisconsin Point Beaches. * WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...High wave action can make swimming difficult on days such as this. Incoming waves in rapid succession can tire even an experienced swimmer quickly. Rip currents can usher you away from land. To avoid being swept away, swim parallel to the shore to exit a rip current.
