Precipitation is slowly coming to an end across most areas east of the Allegheny Front. Temperatures will continue to fall through the night into the teens and 20s. This will lead to a refreeze of any moisture on the roads. Slick spots will be possible. Motorists and those venturing outside during this time should be cautious for any slick spots that they encounter.

Winter Storm Warning issued January 19 at 7:00PM EST until January 20 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of western Maryland, western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia. * WHEN...Until 9 AM EST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Cold Weather Advisory issued January 19 at 6:34PM EST until January 21 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

* WHAT...An extended period of temperatures up to 30 degrees below normal. Very cold wind chills as low as 15 degrees below zero. * WHERE...Portions of north central and western Maryland, northwest and western Virginia, and the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. * WHEN...From 4 AM Monday to 1 PM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. An extended period of well below freezing temperatures could cause pipes to rupture.

* WHAT...An extended period of temperatures up to 30 degrees below normal. Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 degrees below zero. * WHERE...In Maryland, Extreme Western Allegany and Garrett Counties. In Virginia, Western Highland County. In West Virginia, Western Grant, Western Mineral, and Western Pendleton Counties. * WHEN...From 4 AM Monday to 7 AM EST Thursday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. An extended period of well below freezing temperatures could cause pipes to rupture.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 5 below expected. * WHERE...Central and South New Jersey, far southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and northeastern Maryland. * WHEN...From 6 PM Monday to 6 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia and frostbite if precautions are not taken. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This advisory is likely to be extended as temperatures stay dangerously cold through much of the week.
