...The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Arkansas... Mulberry River near Mulberry affecting Crawford and Franklin Counties. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Mulberry River near Mulberry. * WHEN...From this morning to tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, no flooding occurs but the river is swift and dangerous. Backwater from the Arkansas River may affect low lying areas near the first few miles of the Mulberry River. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 4.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.5 feet just after midnight tonight. - Action stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian and Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties, Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, Ottawa, Pushmataha and Sequoyah. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Shower and thunderstorm redevelopment this afternoon is expected across the watch area. Additional rainfall amounts combined with previous rainfall will maintain a flood threat through this evening. However, additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop this afternoon across these areas, before shifting slowly east northeast into Southwest Arkansas, Deep East Texas, and North Louisiana this evening and overnight. Locally heavy rainfall is possible with these storms, this afternoon and tonight, with the heavy rain threat shifting into Northcentral and Northeast Louisiana Monday morning. Widespread rainfall amounts of 2-4 inches are expected, with isolated higher amounts possible.
