Northern Granville County in central North Carolina... * Until 745 AM EDT. * At 551 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Areas of fog will affect the area this morning, lowering visibility to 1 to 3 miles at times. The fog may periodically become locally dense, reducing visibilities to less than 1/2 mile at times. If driving this morning, SLOW DOWN, use low beam headlights and allow extra braking distance ahead of you in case of sudden stops. The fog will quickly dissipate between 8 and 9 am edt this morning.
