* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, including the following areas, Belmont, Monroe and Noble, Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Higher Elevations of Fayette, Higher Elevations of Westmoreland, Washington and Westmoreland, and West Virginia, including the following areas, Brooke, Eastern Preston, Eastern Tucker, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Preston, Ridges of Eastern Monongalia and Northwestern Preston, Western Tucker and Wetzel. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall are expected tonight through Tuesday night. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected on average, with locally higher totals possible. Beach Hazards Statement issued September 21 at 9:26AM EDT until September 22 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH

* WHAT...High risk of rip currents. * WHERE...Northern Erie County. * WHEN...Through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Wind and wave action will cause currents on the lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along structures extending out into the lake.

When a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, the storm may produce damaging winds, large hail, dangerous lightning, and heavy rain. In some cases, heavy rainfall produced by a severe storm can also lead to flash flooding. Do not drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water depth or fast flowing water/mud/debris from a flash flood will make road conditions unsafe.
