* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas, including the following counties, Johnson, Linn and Miami and west central Missouri, including the following counties, Cass and Jackson. * WHEN...Until 1245 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 933 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego. * WHEN...Until early Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 22.5 feet, Riverside Park Drive floods from east of Xavier St, just south of the river gage bridge, to 100 yards east towards the water plant. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.8 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

At 30.0 feet, Highway 152 floods 0.75 miles west of La Cygne.
