A quick temperature drop will occur Tuesday evening with temperatures falling rapidly below freezing. A flash freeze is possible on roadways where the roads could become icy and slippery very quickly in a short period of time Tuesday night. Rain will quickly change over to snow Tuesday evening. There could briefly be some sleet and freezing rain mixed in. Snow accumulations will be up to 2 inches Tuesday night. If driving Tuesday night, be prepared for rapidly changing weather and driving conditions

Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will cause blowing and drifting of snow. * WHERE...Keweenaw, Ontonagon, Northern Houghton and Gogebic Counties. * WHEN...From 7 PM EST /6 PM CST/ Tuesday to 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...With temperatures falling rapidly below freezing Tuesday evening, a flash freeze is possible on roadways where the roads could become icy and slippery very quickly in a short period of time.
