...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana... Wabash River at Montezuma. .Recent rainfall has brought Montezuma back above flood stage this morning with Hutsonville and Riverton also expected to rise above flood stage on Tuesday. Numerous rain showers are expected today before dry weather returns for Tuesday and Wednesday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...From this morning to early Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of Montezuma begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Monday the stage was 14.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Monday was 14.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.8 feet early Wednesday morning. Numerous rain showers are expected today before dry weather returns for Tuesday and Wednesday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. * WHEN...From Tuesday morning to late Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Old Darwin Road and a few low rural roads between York and Hutsonville, Illinois begin to flood. Agricultural flooding begins along portions of the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 17.0 feet early Friday morning. A few rural roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up Minnow Slough. High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in Palestine. A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in Sullivan County may flood. Water level is at the top of most makeshift levees. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM EDT Monday /10:00 AM CDT Monday/ the stage was 13.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 16.3 feet Thursday morning.
