The combination of clear skies and calm winds this morning has
led to areas of fog developing, particularly along the river
valleys. However, some overland fog has also developed, which may
be locally dense in spots. Fog is expected to burn off shortly
after daybreak.
Motorists should be prepared for rapid changes in visibility.
Allow for greater distances between vehicles, use low beam
headlights, and allow extra time to reach your destination.
SAFETY and DATA MESSAGE
When a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, the storm may produce damaging winds, large hail, dangerous lightning, and heavy rain. In some cases, heavy rainfall produced by a severe storm can also lead to flash flooding. Do not drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water depth or fast flowing water/mud/debris from a flash flood will make road conditions unsafe.
