Special Weather Statement

Special Weather Statement issued January 13 at 7:16PM EST by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

Above-freezing temperatures earlier today allowed lingering snow, slush, and ice to melt. While most roads were able to dry during the day thanks to the sunshine and winds, some shaded areas remained wet. Any residual moisture will freeze again tonight with low temperatures in the teens across most of the area. Motorists should drive with extra caution given the potential to encounter slick spots. Slow down and leave plenty of room in front of you. Untreated bridges, overpasses, and sidewalks will be the most prone to black ice.
