Owyhee River Below Owyhee Dam affecting Malheur County. .High mountain snow melt and increased reservoir releases will cause the river flows to become high. Expect minor flooding downstream from the dam. For the Owyhee River...including Owyhee Dam, Owyhee Dam...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Owyhee River below Owyhee Dam. * WHEN...Until late Thursday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:30 PM MDT Friday /4:30 PM PDT Friday/ the flow was 3,608.0 cfs. - Bankfull stage is 1,000 cfs. - Recent Activity...The maximum river flow in the 24 hours ending at 5:30 PM MDT Friday /4:30 PM PDT Friday/ was 3,655.0 cfs. - Forecast...The river will fall to 3,573.0 cfs just after midnight tonight. It will then rise to 4,999.9 cfs early Sunday morning. It will fall below flood stage early Thursday morning to 1,437.1 cfs Monday, May 06 then rise again. - Flood flow is 3,000.0 cfs. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 5,110.0 cfs on 05/31/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
